Sikmading's Sabah, Malaysian Borneo

Mr Sikmading
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia
This blog is mainly about Sabah, until 1963 British North Borneo, seen through the eyes of veteran local journalist Sikmading. Located in Borneo, the 3rd largest island in the world, this east Malaysian state is home to Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sabah also offers Sipadan and Layang-Layang islands, said to be among the best diving spots in the world. Tourists also come to see the Orangutan, proboscis monkeys, the world's largest flower, Rafflesia and of course our diverse culture and unique Borneo people, some of whom are seen in the picture at the top of this blog. To know more about me and why I chose 15th July to start my blog, please read my first post, "Hello! Borneo calling...", by clicking on July 2007 under My Blog Archive. However, to avoid boredom, I may from time to time blog about things non-Sabahan or non-political,including Hollywood, Bollywood or whatever wood, including Tiger Wood. And of course, I do blog about Borneo in general and other parts of Malaysia especially events in the national capital Kuala Lumpur which may affect Sabah. Thank you and welcome to the 'Land Below the Wind.'
